About Kondana Caves:

Kondana Caves situated in Karjat offers the ancient lifestyle of Buddhist followers. Ancient rock-cut caves, Kondana Caves are very famous Buddhist caves. These caves enclose sculptures, vihara, cahitya and stupa. Sculptures and stupas are specimens of the ancient period Buddhist architecture. There was a natural disaster in the form of an earth quake in early 1900 by which many stupas, front entrance and floor of the caves were damaged.

These ancient caves attract lots of tourists and Buddhist devotees all through the year. There are some restrictions on these protected ancient caves. Smoking and the consumption of liquor and aromatic foods are prohibited nearby places of the caves. Kondana Caves is around 15 KM from Karjat. 

 

Itinerary:

We will be starting with the Fast Train from CST to Karjat (Time table given below)

People may board the same train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly.

(Get into second boggy from CST side) Take Return Ticket to Karjat

06:31 am Kurla 

06:35 am Ghatkopar

(Missing the train means missing the trek, so be on time)

Meeting Point Karjat Station Ticket Counter at 8:10 am.

Move to Base Village by Rickshaw.

Breakfast On the Way 

Reach Base Village by 10.30 am

Reach Kondana Caves in 1 Hour, by 11.30 am

Explore the Cave and Enjoy the Waterfall

Start Descending

Lunch at Base Village

Post Lunch Start Return Journey

Reach Karjat Station by 6.00 pm

Catch any train from Karjat and Reach Mumbai by 9:00 pm.

Return time is subjective to the speed of the group, traffic in return, or any unwanted situation beyond our control and can be delayed. Please inform your family members accordingly.

A good trekking shoes,(no chappal and sandel) extra pair of flotters.

A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking.

Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.

Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments. 

This is a monsoon trek, so pack your bags accordingly to take care of your belongings.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

 1. If cancellation done prior to 10 days of outing 75% will be refunded.

2. If done prior to 5 days of outing 50% will be refunded

3. After that no refund will be provided.
