However, the real thrill comes when you hit the trails of Kaza, Key, Langza, Hikkim, Komic, Chicham, and the high-altitude Kunzum Pass. It's an invitation to explore, connect, and create stories. How to reach:

By Air: Being the nearest airport to Spiti, Chandigarh International Airport is a major air hub that operates frequent flights to other destinations across the country.  

By Road: Another option is the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU), which operates buses to nearby states and Union territories on a daily basis.

By Rail: Chandigarh Junction Railway is also a feasible option as it is well-connected to other major cities in India and closer to Spiti Valley.

Detail Itineary: 

 Day -1: 

Reach your pre-booked hotel in Chandigarh, check-in and rest for sometime. You will then meet your road-captain for a briefing session and also the day-wise plan. After that collect your bike from transport vendor or, you will be introduced to the Royal Enfield Bikes that you will ride throughout the tour. Later, have dinner, retire to your bed and prepare for the next day.

NOTE: (Rental Bike + Additional Cost as per the Local Tariff)

A bike will be provided to you for 9 days, beginning and ending in Chandigarh for your journey.

 

Day -2:

Chandigarh to Narkanda Distance: 173 Km | Duration: 5 Hours, 30 Minutes

Start early to beat the traffic out of Chandigarh and head towards the Himalayas on the Himalayan Expressway.

On the way, you will be passing through Chail, a hill station in the lower Himalayan range and home to beautiful flower orchards.

After a short lunch break, you will head towards Narkanda, known as the fruit bowl of Himachal Pradesh.

Apple and cherry trees line the roadsides and the tall Deodar fir trees spread their sweet aroma all around.

On reaching Narkanda, check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day - 3:

Activity: Narkanda to Chitkul | Immerse in the Enchanting Beauty of The Himalayas

Narkanda to Chitkul Distance: 176 Km | Duration: 6 Hours, 30 Minutes

Embark on a scenic bike ride to behold Kinnaur Valley's exquisite vistas.

Trace the Sutlej river's path until Karcham; then, turn right to Chitkul, tracing the Baspa river.

Chitkul, the final village before Indo-China border, showcases stunning Himalayan scenery.

Don't miss the renowned 'Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba' for a fulfilling meal amid this beauty.

Later, check-in and rest at the hotel/homestay for an overnight stay.

 

Day - 4:

Activity: Chitkul to Kalpa | Marvel at the Majestic Kinnaur Kailash Mountain

Chitkul to Kalpa Distance: 60 Km | Duration: 2 Hours, 30 Minutes

Ride back towards Karcham from where you will continue deeper into the Kinnaur valley towards Powari.

At Powari take a left to ride to ReoKong Peo, which is the main town of Kinnaur district from where you will proceed to Kalpa.

Spend the night at a camp/homestay in the beautiful Kalpa village, from where you can see the stunning Kinnaur Kailash Mountains.

 

Day - 5:

Activity: Kalpa to kaza | Sightseeing En route

Kalpa to Kaza Distance: 208 Km | Duration: 5 Hours, 30 Minutes

Traverse the Indo-Tibet Highway, soaking in Spiti Valley's beauty.

Pass the majestic Khab bridge and witness the Spiti-Satluj confluence (Khab Sangam)

Stop at Nako Lake for lunch and soak in the breathtaking views.

You will then cross Sumdo and make your way deeper into the mesmerizing Spiti Valley.

Take a 3 km detour to see the 500-Year-Old Mummy at Gue Monastery.

Later, explore Tabo Monastery, the oldest active Buddhist enclave in India and the Himalayas.

Check in for an overnight stay at your hotel/homestay.

 

Day - 6:

Activity: Excursion to Key, Langza, Hikkim and Komik

Start by visiting the Key Monastery, nestled in a bowl-shaped valley of Langza, & marvel at its mountainous setting and rich history.

Head to Langza, perched at a staggering 14,500 ft., known to be one of the world's highest villages accessible by road and the beautiful Lang Temple

Continue your journey to Hikkim, which has the world's highest post office, and send postcards to your loved ones.

Conclude your adventure in Komik, Asia's highest village, & immerse yourself in its stunning surroundings.

Return to your Kaza hotel/homestay for an overnight stay.

 

Day - 7:

Activity: Kaza to Chandratal Lake | Marvel at the Beautiful Chandratal Lake

Kaza to Chandratal Lake Distance: 97 Km | Duration: 3 Hours

Pass through Kunzum La, which connects Lahaul Valley to Spiti Valley, and just before Batal, take a right turn that leads to the Chandratal Lake.

Aptly nicknamed the “Moon Lake,” Chandratal Lake showcases its crescent shape amidst the Lahaul and Spiti district's awe-inspiring landscapes.

Admire the beauty of Chandratal Lake as it changes color throughout the day

As the sun sets, Chandratal Lake transforms into a starlit spectacle, its shimmering waters reflecting the night sky's grandeur.

Conclude the day's adventure by savoring a delectable dinner and enjoying an overnight stay at the cozy campsites, from where you can see the galaxy with your naked eyes.

 

Day - 8:

Activity: Day at Leisure

Chandratal Lake to Manali Distance: 111 Km | Duration: 3 Hours, 50 Minutes8:

Check-out from your camps and start riding towards Manali. Pass the iconic Rohtang Pass, treating your eyes to the stunning Himalayan Range panorama. Upon arrival in Manali, settle into your hotel for a brief respite. Roam the charming Mall Road or seek solace at the revered Hadimba Devi Temple. Have a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.

 

Day - 9: Manali to Chandigarh | Bid Farewell to the Mountains

Pack your bags and check-out from your hotel. Begin your bike journey back to Chandigarh. Upon reaching Chandigarh, hand over your bikes and bid farewell to your fellow riders. Return home with a bagful of memories.

Know Before You Go for Chandigarh To Spiti Bike Expedition

For safety purposes, a biking tour is not recommended for women who are more than 3 months pregnant, anyone that has had major surgery, or has a broken leg/arm, has chronic back or neck pains, etc.

Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; it is advisable that you take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.

Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.

The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.

Pay heed to the tour guides and instructors in order to enjoy a safe and sound tour.

All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.

Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.

Transportation during the trip would be in Non AC & Non-Heater vehicles. Please wear clothes according to the weather while travelling.

It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the tour. The advisable baggage weight is 60 litres as you might have to carry the luggage to the backup vehicle, the accommodation, etc.

ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.

Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort will be charged at actuals.

All the travellers are requested to carry a copy of their medical certificate (if any) with them.

Guidelines issued by the State-Government is to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.

There will be a refundable security deposit per bike depending on the variant selected. Please ensure you pay that in advance and carry the receipt with you at all times to get a refund later.

In case a rider leaves the bike in the middle of the trip, charges for re-transporting the bike to the destination will be borne by the rider.

During a bike trip, in case the roads are blocked due to landslides or a reason that is beyond control, Thrillophilia will rearrange the itinerary for the travellers real-time, however, the cost of alternative accommodation will be borne by the customer as the hotels pre-booked execute their cancellation policies and are nonrefundable.

Any fuel for the bikes, any charges for spares parts and damage caused to the bikes, etc. will be charged at extra.

Check your bikes properly before every day's ride and keep the tour guide informed of the same.

Always carry your driver's license, wear helmets and riding gear, etc., while riding a bike.

Rescheduling Policy for Private (Standard & Deluxe Package) & Group Bookings: 1) If rescheduling is made 7 days after the Booking Date till 15 days prior to the Date of Travel then 30.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as rescheduling fees. | 2) If rescheduling is made 0 days to 15 days before the Date of Travel then 100.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. | 3) If bookings are made 15 days before the Date of Travel no rescheduling & modifications will be made.

Rescheduling Policy for Private (Super Deluxe) & Hotel Specific Bookings: No modification or Rescheduling will be catered. A standard cancellation policy will be applicable for such cases.

Force Majeure: In cases of force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseeable circumstances), WSR Outdoors reserves the right to reschedule Tours & treks or offer alternative itineraries to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.

Cancellation After Rescheduling: Clients who reschedule their tours or treks but later decide to cancel will be subject to our standard cancellation policy. Any rescheduling fees paid will be non-refundable.

2 Participants or Members are responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.

3 Over-speeding will not be tolerated as usual, because mishaps cost yours as well as whole group's time..

4 Don't even think or assume that it is a LUXURY trip, please be ready to rough yourself out or else please stay at home for comfort.

5 Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the Rides. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the ride. NO REFUND will be provided.

6 “WSR Outdoors” would not be responsible for any uncertainties happening to him and also the members who accompany him.
