About:
The Kaas Plateau also known as the “Kaas Pathar” which is situated in the Western Ghat Sahyadri range, 22 kilometers from Satara city in Maharashtra state of India. The name Kaas originates from Kaasa tree (Elaeocarpus glandulosus). Leaves of this tree turn green to red as they mature.
The plateau is full of wild flowers during the month September. Recently it has been declared as Biodiversity World Heritage Site by The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco).
Kaas lake is surrounded by dense forests and lies between Sajjangad fort and the Kanher Dam. The place has more than 850 different species of flowers and other plants including Orchids, Karvy and carnivorous plants such as Drosera Indica. This falls under the Sahyadri Sub Cluster of Western Ghats which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ride back to mumbai till 8 or 9 pm.

Petrol and Maintenance cost should be settled by the bike owner and the person accompanying him.
In case, of a single rider, the petrol and maintenance charges has to be paid by him alone
WSR will provide info about a willing participant who can accompany you, and share the expenses.
This depends on availability of such willing participants

Reflector Bibs is compulsory (Green Color)
Either you carry your own or WSR will provide it for Rs.150/- Only
Important things to be carried:
Identity proof.
Legal papers of bike.
Helmet / Gloves / Knee Pad / Elbow Pad.
Extra Pair of clothes.
Bedsheet / Chaddar
Medicines, camera (optional).
Please pack bags accordingly to protect them from rain.
Important Points to keep in mind:
1 The leader's decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
2 Participants or Members are responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
3 Over-speeding will not be tolerated as usual, because mishaps cost yours as well as whole group's time..
4 Don't even think or assume that it is a LUXURY trip, please be ready to rough yourself out or else please stay at home for comfort.
5 Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the Rides. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the ride. NO REFUND will be provided.
6 “WSR Outdoors” would not be responsible for any uncertainties happening to him and also the members who accompany him.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
1. If cancellation done prior to 10 days of outing 75% will be refunded.
2. If done prior to 5 days of outing 50% will be refunded
3. After that no refund will be provided.
